Flagstaff Ranch Paint Guide

Now that the Flagstaff Ranch Project reveal is complete, I’m excited to share the paint colors. I love giving little glimpses into each space whenever I can, and paint is one of the most accessible ways to do that. These colors helped set the tone, enhance the light, and make every corner feel intentional. Note that if we did not include a cabinet color, it was because it was a custom color from our cabinet maker.

Without further ado, here are the colors that made this house a home!

Exterior

Amherst Gray + Herbal Escape by Benjamin Moore

I felt so inspired by the surrounding nature of this home when choosing the exterior colors. My team and I landed on Amherst Gray by BM for the walls and Herbal Escape for the trim. I do not have a wood stain to share as it was selected on site. I just love the combination of these colors with the wood as it creates the perfect balance of helping the home blend seamlessly with its surroundings while still making its own statement.

Throughout Home

Milk Glass by Dunn Edwards

In this project (like many others), we choose a main color for the interior. It is very important to choose different sheens for walls, trim, doors, and ceilings as it helps define each surface and how it interacts with light. Eggshelled walls offer a soft, subtle sheen that’s easy to clean. Satin on trim and doors adds durability and a touch of polish, while flat ceilings give a clean, seamless finish. Together, these finishes give the home depth and dimension while keeping it cohesive. For this project we went with:

  • Walls: Milk Glass (DEW358) in an eggshell

  • Trim & Doors: Milk Glass (DEW358) in a satin

  • Ceilings: Milk Glass (DEW358) in a flat

Living Room Built-Ins

Nimbus by Benjamin Moore

The built-ins are the focal point of the space, and to contrast with the creamy white walls, we chose Nimbus by Benjamin Moore. This warm, creamy gray picks up tones from the fireplace stone, creating a subtle, cohesive connection. I love how it looks in this room.

Office

Turkish Coffee by Sherwin Williams

In the office, we went with a gorgeous, chocolatey brown that perfectly captures the Western Ralph Lauren vibe we were aiming for. With that big window, we were able to color-drench the space, creating a moody atmosphere that still feels bright and inviting. I love how it turned out!

Primary Suite

Walls: Milk Glass by Dunn Edwards
Trim: Natural Cream by Benjamin Moore
Cabinets: Unusual Gray By Sherwin Williams

Using Milk Glass on the walls and the same wood stain on the beams creates cohesion with the rest of the home. In this room, we added a unique twist with a slightly darker trim in Natural Cream by Benjamin Moore. I love the look of lighter walls paired with darker trim. It always feels timeless to me.

The cabinets are a beautiful, cooler gray with a blue undertone. As much as people may roll their eyes at gray, I think it’s stunning when executed thoughtfully.

Junior Suite

Jade Romanesque by Benjamin Moore

We color-drenched this bedroom in Jade Romanesque by Benjamin Moore. This is stunning green that transforms with the light, whether daylight streams in or the room is softly lit at night. We carried the color into the bathroom on the trim as well and it’s a beautiful contrast to the fun floral wallpaper.

As we’ve mentioned before, different finishes add depth: the walls are eggshell, while the millwork and crown are satin, creating subtle dimension throughout the space.

Powder Bath

In the powder bath, the beadboard is painted in Natural Tan by Sherwin Williams which is a perfect contrast that helps tone down the bold wallpaper.

Guest Bedroom + Bath

Rojo Marron + Gossamer Veil by Sherwin Williams

In the guest bathroom, we went bold with Rojo Marrón by Sherwin Williams on both the walls and cabinetry. We carried that color into the bedroom with a custom velvet red headboard, creating a cohesive, dramatic touch.

On the bedroom walls, we chose Gossamer Veil by Sherwin Williams, a beautiful greige that perfectly balances the color of the bathroom while keeping the space soft and inviting.

Bunk Room

Steep Cliff Gray by Benjamin Moore

In the bunk room, we chose Steep Cliff Gray for the tongue-and-groove walls and bunk beds. It’s a beautiful blue that feels neutral, yet still playful.

Every room in the Flagstaff Ranch home was thoughtfully considered, from the walls to the trim, cabinetry, and ceilings. I love how color can transform a space by bringing cohesion, personality, and a little bit of magic to every corner. Sharing these paint selections is just a small peek behind the scenes, and I hope it inspires you to play with color in your own home!
