Lakefront Luxury: Coeur d'Alene Lake House Reveal

Today marks a moment we've eagerly awaited for over two years – the official reveal of our Coeur d'Alene Lake House Project! This endeavor has been a true labor of love, made possible by the collaboration with our wonderful clients, the architect, and the home builder.

Residing full time in Seattle, Washington, they've dreamt of owning a property in Coeur d'Alene for years. Now, we're overjoyed to announce that this dream has become a reality and our lovely clients can finally enjoy their vacation home with their family and friends.

We will be splitting this project reveal up into a series of blogs so that we can give you all of the details of each space!

Our clients have a love for New England-style homes and envisioned a retreat that seamlessly blended into the scenic beauty of Coeur D'Alene Lake. When we think of New England Vibes, we think of natural elements and cozy nooks that invite you to linger and soak in the serene surroundings.

CDA is home to cold winters, so with all of that snow fall and a steep driveway -- heated patio floors and driveway were the way to go. There's no better way to welcome yourself home or welcome guests by a driveway/entry that is steer clear of ice!

The Entry

Stepping through the front door, the entry welcomes you with open arms. Originally, the architect had designed the walls with horizontal shiplap, our decision to install it vertically perfectly captures the mountain cottage aesthetic our clients adore. For the color, we opted for this captivating blue/gray called Puritan Gray by Benjamin Moore which created an atmosphere of coziness.

You're met with stone floors upon entering the front door that preserve the beauty of wood floors as guests step in from the snow in the colder months. This beautiful pendant light is both a statement and casts a warm glow, inviting everyone to linger in this refined yet welcoming space.

No entry moment is complete without a console table, decor and a mirror. These are our 3 go-to's for every entry way. It's easy to build on the design with decor and items that speak to the overall style of the home.

And finally, I love the additional detail of the chair because not only does it look super cute, it also serves as a seat for guests to take their shoes off. We opted for a floor lamp instead of your usual table lamp found in an entry. We chose to do this to create balance opposite of the chair with the art layered above.

The Laundry Room:

Continuing our journey through the house, the laundry room might be one of my favorite spaces with its classic design and thoughtful details. Tall ceilings and abundant windows fill the room with natural light, creating an airy and uplifting atmosphere.

With all of the windows this property offers, we wanted to find a creative way to provide some privacy. We thought no better than a charming cafe curtain. It provides the privacy this space needed while still preserving all the natural light. The design here is truly classic. We painted the cabinets Cloud White by Benjamin Moore. It's one of my favorite whites because it's perfectly soft and balanced.

A laundry room that isn't functional just doesn't make sense. There is an ample amount of space for hanging clothes, storing laundry supplies and extra space for cute decor items ;)

We hope you enjoyed the first glimpses into our Coeur d'Alene Lake House Project. It truly holds such a special place in our heart and we feel that there was no detail that was spared.

At LWD we are committed to creating homes that are not just beautiful but also perfectly tailored to our clients' unique needs + taste. Stay tuned next week to catch the reveal of the living room, kitchen and back patio.
